Posted to Still Have Hump on 8 Nov 2011
In my case, When the cast came off I was super happy. My profile was as straight as a ruler. When the swelling faded, a bump appeared or a hump formed no idea, but I was unhappy. I've had two surgeries to remove my hump and both were unsuccessful. Both straight for a couple weeks and bam a hump comes out of nowhere.
exactly the same thing that happend to me, twice. I had my first operation to remove a hump and to fix a deviated septum. The deviated septum wasnt fixed which I was alright with because it was slightly deviated but the hump was gone it was perfectly straight. a month after I could slighly see a hump starting to appear and 3 months after it was def there. I think it could be one of three things; either your body is building up callasis ( sorry about the spelling) , scar tissue or the dr simply never did a good job at removing the full extent of the hump. The thing is, if your dr never removed the hump entirely, the swelling in that first month would mask or fill in the surface irregularities making it appear ruler straight ( the tape you take off after surgery molds the swelling straight over the irregularities if that makes sense). I hate when I hear drs say time will make it better because in my case and many others it makes it worse. A touch up will be needed if its scar tissue ask about steroid shots. Fill me in on what happend I know its been a year since you have posted this.
I read some where that if you notice one nostril's different than the other it's because your septum could be deviated... Check your nose from all angles; could be slighly deviated.
Most likely scar tissue... Steroid shot or two would do the trick.

Not at all.. I took a head to my nose 5 and a half weeks after rhino, and it didn't effect my nose at all..
