I think it is safe to say that all lasers that are used are in the toilet but our office has a fraxel and a repair.. very costly lasers to the Drs so many dont want to purchase them but we have had the most patient satisfaction. Any clinic or Dr promising that is raises your brows should be called out.. I think the repair is great for acne scars and yes it is painful so you need proper care in managing pain.. there are many options to manage the pain. Fraxel is great at reversing sun damage and is constantly improving their lasers and has merged with Thermage who is also coming out with exciting new lasers..
I agree with Dr. Williams, thanks and if there would be a aesthetician doing this procedure they should be reported. Sometimes, people claim to have Fraxel when it is IPL or something else. I would also have the Dr. Perform it and do your homework.
Very True but if there were to be a problem I would prefer to be close to loved ones at home. Just my opinion, and I agree that you can get good care outside of the USA and could save money but surgery does have inherent risk so why chance be away and having to be flown home for follow up care.. Follow up care is important as well in most surgeries.. True no country has the stronghold but it is best to do research here for the best care and be close to home even though many people do get away with having surgery and no complications out of the country. This is just me..
The blue dye is a thing of the past. Some good advice above when considering any procedure. It is hard to respond when you dont know what complication you had from that dr. and if so you should report it to the company so they can send their trainer over. I would ask how many fraxels have you performed? How many complications have happened with you and what are they? what is the real down time? Are you a board certified derm or plastic surgeon..? We dont want a gyno who does fraxel after a weekend course or even botox for that matter.. What is their training in? I am sorry but dentists, gynos, internests etc.. Fraxel website is a good place to start but referrals from happy patients are even better. I am the host of Beauty Now and married to board certified plastic surgeon who was the first here to get a machine and trains drs... Also, who does the procedure, the nurse or dr? Good advice above but expand on it.. The company does train Drs. and sometimes the DRs get overzealous but my husband has never had a problem with any patient. The thing that happens is your face can be swollen, you can break out, and some people have no problems at all.. It is worth it in the end. I have seen amazing reversal of sun damage and problem skin.. A Good Dr should be doing about 10 Fraxels per week at least.. nbtt
Hi I am Teri Struck, Host of Beauty Now.. How lucky you are to have a Dr. like Dr. Moelleken answer this question. It is true that Radiesse has had so many problems even with great Drs. who do great surgery but dont know how to work with the product. Very sound advice to be safe and go for the light fillers.. We like to say you can always add more but removing is so hard. Great advice. Dr. Moelleken one of my fav podcasts on Beauty Now and one of the best Drs. Thanks
