Well, unfortunately I had my official four week post-op visit last week and there was NO change. The surgeon and I scrutinized the pics and both determined that I looked exactly the same; there wasn't even the minimal difference that I was wishing for. The surgeon was very disappointed as well, and is going to talk to the company about possible reasons for my lack of results. If another procedure is available, he did tell me he would do it for me. With that said, I see on here that many folks have had great results. I am so jealous! ;-)
Latisse was approved by the FDA on December 26, 2008 and was launched on March 2, 2009. Physicians couldn't even order it to sell to their patients until March (I know for certain, because I work for one and I did the ordering). You can verify this information here: http://www.aoa.org/x12180.xml Now, I obviously think Latisse is a great product, and I have had wonderful results with it (and my VERY blue eyes are still VERY blue), but I also realize it isn't for everyone. I've only had one patient change her mind, and that was because she decided it was too much work (ummmm...ok). Still, if you don't want to use it, then don't. But stick to the facts.

I already had long lashes when I started using Latisse, but I wanted more "lush" lashes. My eyelashes initially got longer and darker, and then went through a short "funky" stage (not uncommon and usually lasts about two weeks), and then BAM!!!! - I have amazing volume now. Strangers will stop me in public to ask about my eyelashes. Stick with it!
I'm an ophthalmology nurse and have never heard of anyone having their lashes cut to get a nice shape. Once you get the results you're looking for, cut back to 2 to 3 times per week to maintain your lashes.
I am an ophthalmology nurse and assist patients with Latisse on a daily basis. Some folks (myself included) go through a kind of "awkward" stage when their eyelashes get a little crazy, but it seems to work itself out. You wouldn't believe how gorgeous my eyelashes are now. I get compliments from strangers on an almost daily basis, and sell a TON of Latisse simply because my eyelashes are so awesome.
