Arm lift? How do they do that? I was thinking of a thigh lift.
No swelling, no pain, no inability to stand straight? I have to say you are most likely the exception to the rule.
Back to work after being off a work for one week? Did you have a full tuck?
Unfortunately, I didn't have the luxury of staying in the hospital and was released the very same day but I visited my doctor every week for the first month and every two weeks for the second month. I had a friend who went to the same doctor and she was the same way. Couldn't stand up straight for weeks, had two drains for at least two weeks for all the fluid that accumulates under the skin and a lot of swelling. Maybe you should get a second opinion. Why don't you go to another plastic surgeon and see what he/she says about your stomach-if it is as flat as it should be.
Why do you think that? Do you have any extra skin? My doctor pulled the skin so tight that I couldn't stand up straight for weeks until the skin stretched. I also think your stomach will not be as flat as you think it will if you have had children. For instance, I was at the gym this morning and noticed a young girl walk by. Her stomach was flat flat flat and I thought, "Why doesn't mine look like that?" Then I realized my stomach area is flat but my pubic bone area wasn't as flat as that young girl's. The area feels like hard muscle and there is no extra skin but I had to remind myself that I had a tummy tuck. The doctor tightened my stomach muscles. My uterus is still the same size from having babies. Also, you still have A LOT of swelling. You may not realize it but you do. It will take months before the swelling subsides. If you still have concerns, you should speak with your doctor. I was always told that a reputable doctor will show you before and afters of every patient he had done as well as give you contact numbers for references. My doctor did. Did yours?
