I have to agree with Clairol and Mliningston in their comments. Know this: Color refreshers are a necessary maintenance and required to keep your permanent makeup looking great. It is best to have them evaluated on a regular basis by a permanent cosmetic professional, every 2 years and sooner if light colors have been used. This will help insure you do not walk around with unnatural colored eyebrows(in this case).

Lilaznsurfer, So sorry to hear you do not like your eyebrows. Can I ask you how you went about choosing the technician you let perminanently tattoo your makeup?
Hi Jojo. Cheryl sounds like a true professional and I agree with her. By now hopefully you have had you problem addressed. I would like to respond anyway for the future readers of this site. Permanent Makeup is difficult if not almost impossible to remove. Yes, medical laser are an option and should always be considered. If you have been advised by a laser professional that this option is not for you, there are other possible options. I strongly agree with Cheryl, cammouflaging pigments or tattooing flesh tones over undesired permanent makeup is NOT appropriate and should never be done. In my opinion this only complicates the problem. However there are "lightening" procedures that have proven to do just that. Sometimes more efectively that others and caution sould be taken around the eyes as some lightening products are not approprite for the eye area. You must know that it is a process with no guarantees, and requires time in between treatments to assess the results. Find qualified Permanent Cosmetic Professionals by searching the internet.
Most reputable permanent makeup professionals will include one followup perfecting appointment approximately 4-6 weeks following the first application. And this is why some artists may charge more. This should be discussed in your consultation appointment and paper work provided. I have heard that sometimes clients will have a immune system that will break down the color leaving very little pigment behind, and this is exactly why the follow up appointment is necessary. If you have lost confidence in your origional technician, search the internet for professional organizations that have referral sources for someone in your area. There are excellent Permanent Cosmetic Professionals out there. Consumers need do their homework. Good Luck.
Everyone wanting permanent makeup has a responsibility and should be doing their research and due dilligance be fore having any permanent makeup procedures. Not ALL people are good candidates to receive these procedures. A true professional will recognize this and inform you if this may be the case, putting your best interest ahead of their need to make money. Start with searching professional organizations for permanent makeup, like the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals. Please educate yourself on the information necessary to find a technician. This is YOUR responsibility.
