Thats nice of you to check in! I am doing fine. Scars around ears are still sensitive and somewhat uncomfortable if I sleep on them at night. It has been just over 4 weeks now, so my check-up is in another week or so. On both ears I feel like I have a stitch poking through, which I was told could happen. My left ear sometimes drips a bit of blood where that stitch is, but it isn't a big enough deal to go in before my next appointment (yet). I went on vacation last week to the beach so had to be really careful to constantly put on sunscreen on the incision areas. Will they give me my before and after pictures at LSL? If so, I would be happy to share them with you. Hope you are doing at least a little better. Let me know. KJ
How do I post pictures?
As I said I am sorry for anyone who had bad results. I didn't. Don't the readers deserve both sides? And to anyone who would like to see my results 17 days out if you are considering the procedure let me know and I will be happy to share. Looks like now maybe a small crease like you get after sleeping. Some soreness if I sleep on my side. No visible sweling or bruising. My boyfriend who said I did not need it before now says I look 10 years younger. I am thrilled with results! And no
Ok, dear. It sounds like you are making this a full time mission to dis the procedure. Researching credtials includes making sure your physician is accredited to your satisfaction including whether they are an ear nose throat specialist, a plastic surgeon, certified by the board..If anyone comes into plastic surgery without being fully aware what it entails has to take some ownership. You were foolish to commit to a procedure without being fully informed. I would suggest that the fault lays with the particular office you went to, and to you for not being more proactive. How possibly could you have not enquired about after care for example? You let your incisions go dirty for ten days? Gross. Did your doctor's office not have a phone that you could have called? And they don't cut off your ears, dear. I was being fesicious. They do cut around them though. You seem like an angry woman, and I would suggest that you let others have an opinion and an experience that is different from the one you had. The more you continue to rant, the more I think that you have more problems between your ears than just the pain from the LSL. Good luck to you in the future.
The same could be said for anyone posting here......everyone's experience is different. I am sorry yours was bad, mine just wasn't, is that ok too to report? Don't you want an objective website? I would not have the procedure until I met that doctor (nor would I consider putting a dime down until I met him). I reviewed his credentials, talked about how many procedures he had performed, talked in depth about my concerns and all aspects on which I needed clarification. I think we all have some duty to get educated before we go in, and if you have ANY questions, get them answered. I too felt like the Barbie-esque woman that I initially met with was an insult, making it seem like a business deal not a medical procedure. I was able to look through that and would not discuss the procedure any further without first talking to the doctor. Also, I think it depends on how many procedures you have done. I only had the Lifestyle Lift, no others. No lipo, no eye work, just the LSL. I was not told I could work the next day, and would not have wanted to. A tip off would have been the bottle of percocet, nausea pills, and bandages I left with. I could have worked Monday (and looked good enough to as I didn't bruise), but was happy I didn't have to. For the person who said "do you work for Lifestyle Lift"? the answer is no. I can't believe I can't put up my own experience without being attacked......for all who read this, I would hope you would want a full spectrum of experiences, not just the nightmares. Check out your doctor, ask lots of questions and don't do any surgical procedure without knowing there will be pain, downtime, and healing time. It won't guarantee a good result, but in my case, I came into it able to look through the smoke and mirrors and be realistic. Hey, they basically cut off your ears (or at least it felt like it with all those stitches)...you would have known that if you asked....and that is never a fun thing....but for me it provided great results with only the expected discomfort. Sorry for those of you who didn't fare so well.
