I am just so shocked when I read about all the terrible side effects. I had such an amazing experience with Fraxel it literally changed my skin to where I don't use any foundation or powder (after not being able to leave the house without putting on tons of makeup for most of my life). So I wonder whether some skin doesn't tolerate this procedure well or perhaps some doctors don't have the appropriate skill and experience to use this laser. Or whether there are different manufacturers... I am 40 now. I did my first Fraxel at 37 and had four treatments in total so far. I am planning to go back for my fifth treatment and have revisited this message board. I keep looking at my skin closely to see if I have any of the texture problems discussed here but can't see anything. I did get a few new fine lines now at 40 which I didn't have at 37 but that's ageing.. I also had a baby 18 months ago which didn't do any wonders for my skin. So i think i will go ahead and do that next treatment, keeping fingers crossed.

So why did you rate it as "Not Worth it" then? that's the problem with these ratings. So much garbage.

I was very concerned when i read your post. I am doubting the professionalism and sincerity of your doc. The photo facial is NOT meant as an acne treatment at all. Its main goal is to remove sun spots, redness, broken capilaries and even-out the skin tone. It does absolutely nothing to fight acne. Please do yourself a favor and find a good doctor.
