You could be having an allergic reaction to one of the 36 chemicals found in the shell of the implant.
I had saline implants for 11 years. I developed Raynaud's and Scleroderma (both autoimmune diseases). On the papers I had to sign before getting the implants, I had to check off where it says the implants MAY, but not likely, cause autoimmune diseases/disorders. That is wonderful you have not had a single problem with your implants. Consider yourself lucky. I have met hundreds of women who have had problems with saline implants. Some have become completely disabled. I had mine removed 6 months ago and mold was growing on the valve. I am so glad those things are out of me. Saline implants are not just saline. The shell contains silicone.
I had saline implants for 11 years. After getting the implants, I began to have heart palpitations, fatigue, ringing in ears, hearing loss, weight gain, water retention, would say wrong words, insomnia, blurred vision, sensitivity to light, headaches, increase in cavities, TMJ, unexplained rashes, chemical sensitivities, joint pain, back and neck pain (just to name a few). I was diagnosed with Raynaud's and tested positive for Scleroderma antibodies (both are autoimmune diseases). I knew my implants were to blame for all my symptoms when I read that Raynaud's is caused by being exposed to high levels of PVC (polyvinyl chloride,) which is one of the many chemicals found in breast implants. I had my implants removed 6 months ago. Since then, most of my symptoms are gone. I still have Raynaud's, however, I do not get as many flares as I did when I had the implants. As far as I am concerned, there are no "safe" implants. If I would have known then what I know now, I would have never gotten implants.
