I had a hysterectomy a year ago at the age of 52. I had no weight issues at all but had to be "cut" because I had a huge mass. Two weeks after surgery, I was walking 2 miles and slowly saw swelling go down. It is now a year later and I have FAT around my waist, hips and the doctor told me liposuction might be an option. Apparently, when a person has an open procedure (incision) that blood vessels and such are destroyed. Being 53 and always thin - this is devastating to me. I eat right, work out and there isn't a thing I can do about this but have Lipo ??? Thank you everybody for sharing your experiences. I may have to make a decision here.
