The fat was not placed in the area I asked. My lower lid skin is very thin so the fat pertruded and there were visible irregularities. Furthermore, the fat was placed so high up on my cheekbones that it looked as if my cheeks were on my lower lids - a distorted look in my opinion. Doctor said the fat could be removed with canalog if need be. That was not the case. I've had multiple procedures in an attempt to remove the fat but it has been very difficult.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the affirm laser. It's very difficult to win a lawsuit again a cosmetic surgeon. I advise you to get a letter from at least two other physicians stating that the doctor who performed the treatment did something medically incorrect, if he/she did. Perhaps you weren't a candidate, etc. Thank you for sharing your experience. I just made up my mind not to do Affirm.
Posted to Lumps Caused by Restylane Injections on 5 Aug 2009
Did the doctor massage the area? There is an enzyme called hyaluronidase that is used to dissolve restylane. Unfortunately, it didn't work on me and my lumps have persisted for two years. I'm sorry to hear about your problem. It's very frustrating to look in the mirror and see lumps on your face.
I also have lumps (midface)that formed immediately after Restylane injection. It has been 2yrs 7 months and the lumps are still present. I had hyaluronidase(enzyme) injected but it didn't help. I was told by a doctor on here that extruded after nicking with an #11 blade might help.
