So I met up with a friend just yesterday who mentioned that my face looked different from when she had seen me just 2 months after my surgery.

Now almost 2 years later, I have gotten used to my new face. I guess the best advice I could give anyone is that healing takes a long time, both inside and out.

I think the upper jaw was moved by 6mm forward, maybe even more? But definitely 6mm or more.

It was done in Canada and thus covered by OHIP.

Although I know reversal is possible. I've talked to a couple of people who have done it. I'd say give it about a year. Then see how you feel.

The toughest time is in the beginning when you're adjusting to your new look. But the days do get easier until you forget about it totally.
