Hello Dr. Persky and Dr. Weiner, Still trying guage which laser would be best for me between Fraxel Re:store (several sessions), or the Encore CO2 laser(one shot). My question: Is there an age minimum for the more aggressive treatments like Re:pair and Encore? At 32, with minimal (but some!) fine lines (just a desire for overall firmness and smoothness), is my skin TOO young to do these stronger procedures? I guess I am a little concerned reading about the negative side effects some of the posters have been having. Also, with younger skin, is it feasible to expect to have to do fewer procedures than what´s typical (for the Re:store)? Thanks for your valued input. Kind regards, H
Come on over! Free room and board and tourist guide in exhange for laser resurfacing, heheh.
Hi Dr. Persky and Dr. Weiner, You fellows are great for answering all of these questions. I think it´s relieving to us all to have some expert input about this new field of technology! I live in Spain and have been researching laser procedures. Unfortunately the one I really want (re:pair) isn´t available here. At the moment I am concerned about travel costs back to the states, so I´m considering going for another procedure here. So far I have found 3 options, and I was wondering if you would give me your professional opinion on which would be the best. I am 32 yrs old, have fair skin with freckles and very minimal lines on the forehead and under the eyes. I am interested mostly in smoothing the under eye lines and improving skin tone and radiance. The 3 options are: -"Fraxel re:store" at 600€ per session, multiple sessions required they say. -"Harmony" laser, by Alma laser, a¨"fractional laser" (http://www.almalasers.com/harmony-laser.jsp) at 900€ per session, multiple sessions needed. -"Encore" CO2 laser, at 2300€ per session, only one session needed (this sounded like it might be similar to the re:pair) What do you think? Thanks a million!!
Another question, Where are the practices of Dr. Weiner and Dr. Persky located? Thanks!
Yes, this reallly helped a lot! Thank you very much Dr. Weiner. With all of the varying technology out there, it can be confusing for the layperson to wade through the information. Much appreciated!!
