Hi,
I'm glad that you feel comfortable with your choice to have them replaced. As for me, I chose not to for reasons I have already explained on this site.

I am feeling 'wonderful' and human again. I will never have to worry about any ruptures or any other mishaps that can happen with implants again. I can lie comfortable on my stomach and have no more pain of any kind. I even have some feeling back where I had lost some feeling (this I didn't expect to get back so it is a bonus).

I am 100% happy with the decision I made to not replace them and although I my breasts are not perfect, I am happy to be and feel healthy again.

You are correct about much more information being available at our very fingertips because of the internet and sites like this one. I can't say enough good things about sites like this for women, it is encouraging, uplifting (no pun intended) and a support group for those who need it.

Well Gramma2, that's about all....

God Bless,
Gramma

I would advise you to 'stay on top' of it and don't let you Dr. write it off as if it is in your head....Stay on the Dr.

I'm glad that you're problems were easily fixed and am glad that you are comfortable with the choice you made to replace them.

As for me, I made the choice to not replace them for a few reasons, (which I have written on here before).

No, I did not replace them. I would NEVER have anything like that put it my body again....Am very happy and a lot more comfortable now.
I am one that would never advise anyone to have breast implants put in now that I have 'been there done that'.

Hi,
First of all, I want to say to you, not to be frightened. Of course this is easy for me to say having had it done already..BUT if you are having them removed, just know that it'll be over before you know it.
I must say that the post-op wasn't as painful as I thought it would be. Very manageable. I'm not one to take pain medication easily and I didn't need them after the operation, which was a bonus.
Yes I had drains, they were in for approx 4 to 5 days (if I remember correctly) and I found it easy to empty them and reattach them myself. I'm not sure what an en-bloc is so I can't make any comments on that question.
Yes, it is great to feel normal again, and knowing that this is indeed all behind me now.
God Bless
