No it's not worth the money. What makes the professional microdermabrasion effective is its power and the vacuum. A home microdermabrasion unit is weak and there is no vacuum. It's basically a vibrating device and it scrubs your face with cream & fine crystals. You can achieve the same thing with a tube or a jar of facial scrubs for less than $10.
