'Spa' RF is the branded name of the equipment they use at my clinic, but the RF stands for radio frequency as that's what the process uses the power of, supposedly, to ultimately cause new collagen to form in the skin and cause a tightening effect. I believe Accent is another name. The treatments are done about 2 weeks apart as this is how long it takes for collagen to rebuild. I still don't know if this is helping, and I have to drive 100 mile round trip to have it done as the clinic are doing these at no cost on this area, as they too want to see the effect I'm left with on my abdomen reduce and not look like a deformity (I assume). Meanwhile, I know it's expensive, but I don't know if it works...

mcdor7 Hey thanks for your update and positive news. I had my 3rd Spa RF treatment 3 days ago and I'm sure the roll/ridge above my navel is much reduced, definitely softer. I hope the treatment eventually lifts/flattens the upper abdomen as the overhang of looser skin looks wierd still. I will never know about my inner thighs now, as I can't afford to pay for any RF on them, so I hope that in time they do lose their lumps and indents. I don't think I'd ever let my surgeon perform a touch-up as I don't want any more obvious scarring and wouldn't want the risk of any more problems and lack of results, let alone the painful weeks! But it's good that the option is there for you. Good luck!

redlady- thanks for your words of encouragement...have no choice but to wait, hope, and do anything that's supposed to help. Glad you're now close to healed.

mcdor7- I'm sorry to hear of your distressing experience too. We are not alone. I am convinced my areas are worse now also- very wobbly, discoloured at times under the skin, and erratic lumpiness. One of these days some professional body hs got to define this procedure accurately, and ALL these after-effects should be catalogued and when you sign the form before surgery, it should be after taking it home and digesting the possible outcomes before you finally decide to go for it. Having read the possibilities,I know I wouldn't have gone ahead. It can't be right...

Hi mcdor7 and jlynn76. I'm with you! I've made several posts throughout this forum site on SL and until now I'd not read any comments that describe the after-surgery symptoms so well. I'm 3 months down the line and still experience the ripping/tearing sensation in my hips and abdomen- probably what you call burning/scraped. This has subsided alot from what it was but what I'm now worried about is nerve damage. It would be worth the waiting if I actually had results. Still waiting...losing hope though and would never recommend SL to anyone. But, hey, I hope you are some of the lucky ones in the end, truly. All good wishes.
