I have already had my lipo using PAL. I determined it was the best procedure for me. I am not saying that Vaser, or Smart Lipo comes with any more or less dangers as any other form of surgery. But there ARE incidences of people getting burned with the ultrasound (Vaser) and laser (SMART) and in fact there is at least 1 that I recall reading on this site. I spent a year researching lipo so I have read extensively. With that said, there is risk with all forms of lipo and elective surgery so you have to make your own decisions based on your research. There were only 2 docs in my area doing Smart &/or Vaser, one was an EENT doc. I was NOT going to have anyone other than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon work on my body. The other thing, since my surgery and talking to others, I am finding that the docs in my area are charging three times the amount that I was charged. One of the reasons why these 2 forms of lipo are supposed to be so attractive was because when not done under a general anesthetic, the cost is decreased, but that is not proving to be the case in my area. I actually changed my user name some time ago you can see my pics and review by searching ann in indy. I know a man that is getting ready to have Smart lipo done, I will be interested in seeing if he gets significant results. Finally, I think the decision between the options available are an individual thing, you must have confidence in your doc and be clear as to what you expect to look like when done and what your doc's expectations are for final results. Just don't think because someone writes they had this or that procedure done and went back to work that afternoon that you are going to have those same results. Good luck with which ever decision you make.
You're a nut. If you are losing your family and heading to jail, it is not because of any surgery. It is because you made bad decisions. Boy, you are a piece of work. You're story does not make sense. If you have the gaul to blame your criminal actions on liposuction, you should lose your family.
What form of Lipo did you have? Smart, Vaser Power Assisted, Old Fashion form? I have had my consultation, just have to figure out how to come up with the cash. I am going with Power Assisted. The Smart and Vaser carry to many risks for me with the chance of burning skin or muscle. Can you post before and afters? I too am very fit, but have a couple of stubborn areas and was hoping to have my dream body by the time I turn 40. Which will be here shortly.
I had Lasik done about 2 1/2 years ago and LOVE the results. I had worn contacts for years but began dealing with chronic infections. Of course an infection means you have to trash the contacts so that became expensive. After my procedure, got up from the table and told the doctor what time was on the clock 10 feet away. I would never have been able to read a clock from that distance without my glasses/contacts. I researched this for 20 years (literally) I went to a seminar when it was still in the experimental stages and was asked to be a guinea pig, but declined in those days...not with my eyes. I waited for the technology to be stabilized then chose a facility that does thousands of these procedures every year. Only negative aspect and it is a minor one is when driving at night, on coming headlights have a bit of a star appearance. I will live with that vs. contact and cleaner cost and the infections. Worth every penny. Husband had it done a month after me.
I will start by saying I have no opinion of Lipodissolve at this time. I have not had the procedure, but have only been doing my due diligence in researching the product and the procedure. I am a healthcare provider for more than 15 years and am therefore well educated about health and the human body. With that said, I have to bring up issue with those of you thinking that approval by the FDA is going to change any of these results. NEVER AGAIN you still would have developed hematomas because you had a poor injection from the administrator, not a bad dose of the delivery agent (Lipodissolve compund). Have any of you ever heard of Phen-Fen, Lamotrigine, Troglitazone (Rezulin), Topiramate (Topamax), Propulsid, Tequin, Trasylol, ok so I will stop for now as I could go on for days listing drugs that were approved by the FDA only to be removed at a later date. My point is that if you are going to rely on the FDA to protect you than you are FOOLS. Again, I am not advocating or knocking Lipodissolve, I am just warning anyone researching any type of healcare treatment that FDA approval does not guarantee something is safe. I hope anyone that has had negative results with this procedure that you recover quickly for those that have had positive results, good for you. docniss
