It's been almost 3 months and I am very happy with the results.... Given everything I would go through it again. Every week I notice small improvements even now. All my issues have resolved with time. Deanna

Hi Dr Persky, Could the parasthesia explain the 'numby' feeling I have in my forehead as well? I do feel hot and cold. It just feels like there's a thin layer of rice paper over the skin. Thanks in advance, Deanna

Carla, Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad I'm not the only one. Nerve pain makes sense. I hope that it clears up on it's own. I'm still dark pink and splotchy and I do have a great deal of tightness in my neck and forehead. I think I still have swelling in my forehead and eyebrow area. During the day it seems to clear up as the day goes on, but first thing in the morning it is most pronounced and my eyebrows feel 'heavy' and my upper eyelids 'double up' from puffiness. My forehead has an odd 'numby' feeling still but it seems to get a little better each day. But I just need to be patient a little longer. Overall I do like the results especially the area below my eyes. Thanks, Deanna

Thank you all so much for all the wonderful information you share here! I am 9 days post Fraxel Repair. I have had many of the same issues as everyone else to this point. I am still very pink with the splotches and streaks of whiter skin. I have the itching that I have used steroid cream and benadryl on successfully. My neck has been the worst area of all as I have had quite a bit of pain there. The creases were raw and much redder. The neck area is starting to finally feel better today so I have hope. My one issue I have not seen addressed is that I have prickly spots all over my face and neck. It feels like I have slivers of fiberglass under my skin. It is painful and not itchy when I rub the creams over my face. Also, my forehead has a 'numbed' feeling and I don't really understand why. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for any help. Deanna
For as long as I can remember people have always thought I was much younger than I actually was. I was still getting carded at 40! I had grandchildren that people always thought were my own children. No one would believe when I told them my real age. It was fun to shock people. Then, in the last 5 years that has all changed. Suddenly gravity caught up with me. Understand that I was never a smoker or drinker or partier. I did gain about 80 pounds and then in the last year I lost 40 pounds and started to notice the loose skin around my eyes and in my lower face and neck. I asked someone how old they thought I was and they actually guessed my real age. That is when I knew I was old. It doesn't help that my husband is 8 years younger than me. Now it was more apparent and I just couldn't stand it. I turned 59 in March and that's when I decided to have the Fraxel repair. It has been only 9 days and I am already pleased with the result. I still have a way to go but if nothing else changes I will be happy. I just want to look the same age as my husband and I think I will actually look younger than him again!
