Aphrodite. Spoke with the nurse where I got Latisse. She decided not to do maintenance, still doing 1 drop/day of Latisse. Sorry, this doesn't help answer your question. She has not had any shedding, nor has she heard complaints of shedding from their patients. Found this interesting, since so many of us have experienced shedding - me in patches. Suspect she'll start asking about it now, as she was a little concerned and surprised. Will keep everyone apprised if she says anything more.
Looked in rear view mirror yesterday. Sun was reflecting on lashes in a way that made the light ends show. My lashes are extremely long, much more than I realized. Can't wait for the shedding to stop so I can invest in a tint. :-) Really want them to thicken. Like Nipchick, I don't want to wear mascara. After years of not wearing it, it feels irritating, heavy, and a nuisance to remove. Oh Dear...I want it ALL! lol
Aphrodite: the nurse at my doc's was on maintenance level Latisse nine weeks ago when I bought my L. She didn't complain of shedding, had VERY thick and dense lashes, but not the length we're seeing with our contributors - she wasn't wearing mascara. What I don't know is how long she had been on maintenance. I'm at 9.5 weeks and still shedding in patches. The first patch has filled in, this second patch is about half grown in. Seem to be losing a patch on other eye. But, I expect this for now.
Thanks Nipchick! To me, the lashes look curled and possibly tinted. Each example reflects a lot of light - possibly a conditioner or photographer's lighting? I think the darker haired women appear to have gotten better results. On the lids of each example there's a brown'ish line that has a shine. I've gotten this also - but the shine is more prominent than the brown color. It's also much wider than the art brush I use - guess the L bleeds a little.
Hey Girls! At the beginning of my 9th week of Latisse. Will post how long my first bottle lasted, using one drop per day, when it's gone. Still losing patches of lashes, but the new length seems consistent. My lashes were always long - accused of falsies all my life- but they were thin. Post menopause everything (yes, everything- lol) gets thinner and begins shedding. Consequently, my cell turn over cycle is likely slower and I suspect will take a little longer. With mascara it looked like I was wearing xx-long falsies. Kinda self conscious that day. Waiting for lashes to thicken and I'll try tinting so I don't look like "Glamor Granny." Nipchick: How's the thickening going for you?
