i had mines done on the 6th March i still have swelling above my stiches and i dont feel as if mt skin was pulled tight enough i hear people saying they couldnt walk straight after the operation but i could 3 days after not happy at all !

Thx for all this help i am nearly 4 months post op it is going down now but along the scar line there is still a bulge the doctor said it might not go away as that is the skin where it was fatter there and the bottom half of the tummy is thinnner skin so thats why i got the slight buldge is anyone else like that or is it just me !

Hi well i know just how you feel i went to see my surgeon last week for the first time in about 7 weeks he said the reason why i have that bulge is because the skin he cut away was more fattening than the bit he sewed together from the bottom of my tummy that skin is always thinner so he said just to massage it but i will never have a completely flat tummy after haveing children he showed me pics before my op i didnt realize my stomach was so disgusting i had a hysterectomy 2 yrs ago which left a big scar down the center of my stomach well that has all gone now and he tightened my muscles which are a lot better so although its not what i expected its by far a lot better than what it was so when i feel a bit down about how it is i think how my pictures looked and im a lot happier he alo said to me to massage the scar tissue and that might make it flatter i also had a seroma and it could take a year to six months to fully see the difference just hold in there but i do know how you feel as on here you see so many really flat tummys but you have to think of your own shape as well and take that into consideration hope this helps you !

ive had mines done 11 wks now can anyone tell me if there tummy is swollen above the stiches it doesnt feel flat there its like a bulge and my right side looks swollen still where they said my seroma was i was only drained one time after my seroma was found that was way back in April

Well all i can do is spk for my self my waist was bigger and my right hand side had a seroma it was all swollen i am now 3 months after my op and its only now going down i was only drained once and i feel my doctor didnt care i hear people saying they went back nearly every week till it went away i havent seen my surgeon since April i am going back next week for the first time i feel he hasnt pulled my skin tight enough
