Well, it is interesting to read all these comments and I am really confused now. I did Thermage in Feb. 2008-4 mos. ago with little research b/c I trusted the doc. I have a very thin hollowed out face and really I think fillers would have been better for me than Thermage. I did get just one injection of Sculptra split between two cheeks about two years ago. It didn't last long, but I thought it wasn't b/c they didn't use enough of the filler. Anyway, this practitioner told me thermage and chemical peels would solve my problem. I had one chemical peel done in Jan. and loved the results. I should have stopped there. Since then I have had the Thermage and two more peels. I am 46 and had fairly elastic skin, but some laxity, especially under the eyes. My main problem was the hollow cheeks, however. Well, I have to say that Thermage has made my cheeks fuller looking. But everything else sags! My cheekbones are now under my eyes, rather than up and to the side. The side view f my face is much older looking than it was before. Even with the hollows, my before pics looked better than my face does now. In fact, my practitioner has not taken any new photos and she keeps saying the old ones were taken in bad lighting and so she discounts them. I am dismayed b/c I am a mother of still fairly young children and the only reason I started this process was so I could look a bit fresher and not so thin in the face. (people think I'm sick!) The other problem is that this is getting continually worse and harder to manage. Does anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone have recommendations for board certified docs in southern Wisconsin or northern Illinois? Please e-mail me if you have any answers or questions. BTW, I did not think Thermage was particularly painful...either during or after the procedure.
