Hi HollowGirl,
How are your eyes doing? Any improvement in the discoloration? I had really bad bruising/swelling for a couple of weeks after getting Restylane injected in my tear troughs. The darkness should get lighter as the Restylane starts to dissolve...it will take some time, though. I had my Restylane injected back in October 2009 and I'm still waiting for it to completely go away. I was over injected under my right eye and left with what looks like a bag...ugh!! Hate it! But it's very, very slowly going back to normal. Massage and warm compresses may help the lumpiness you're experiencing, but do it very gently. I guess the good news is that it's not permanant! Thank goodness!!! So it will go away...eventually. Each week I see my eyes getting a little bit better. I will certainly never let anyone inject me with anything again! Hang in there...and I hope things are looking better for you.
Ardha,
First of all you are beautiful. Secondly, I'm in the same situation as you are. I'm 28 and had Restylane injected under my eyes back on October 22, 2009 and have been waiting patiently for the crap to dissolve. My doctor overfilled under my right eye and barely put anything under my left. I had a HUGE bubble of product under my right eye that I could actually see when I looked down. I thought about getting it dissolved, but have decided just to wait it out becuase I don't want further damage done. Six months later, and I'm still waiting for it to completely go away. It's not easy, but I just keep telling myself that it will eventually go away...hopefully in just a couple more months. If I were you I would just leave things alone rather than risk having things look worse. It sucks...trust me I know...but just be glad you didn't do anything permanant! From your pictures, it really doesn't look too bad. But I realize it is devastating to look in the mirror every morning...it is for me as well. Just hang in there. It will go away!
Ah, yes I did, and it went horribly! I'm anxiously waiting for it to completely dissolve. I went to a well-known plastic surgeon in the area and trusted him completely, but he let me down big time. He overfilled under my right eye and barely put anything under my left. I did this back in October, and I still have a little "bubble" of product under my left eye that I'm really hoping will go away soon. He did a ridiculously bad job! Thank goodness it's not permanant. I cried every day for about a month, which certainly didn't help the swelling. I'll have to upload some photos here when I get a chance. I think within about a month or 2 it will be completely gone. I thought about having it dissolved with hyaluronidase, but was afraid that would cause it to look even worse. So I'm just waiting it out...and will never let that clown touch my face again.
I have an upcoming appointment to get Restylane injected under my eyes. I'm quite anxious, but reading your experience has helped me reaffirm my decision to go through with it. I hope to be posting a similar story a couple weeks from now. Congratulation to you and your success story!!
I just scheduled an appointment with my plastic surgeon for the 22nd to have my tear troughs filled. I'm 28 also and work on the computer all day long...I really feel this is what caused my poor eyes to change so dramatically over such a short period of time. I'm glad I'm not alone in this matter and I'm so thrilled with how great your results are! I really hope I get the same fantastic results!
