  • Posted to You Get What You Pay For!! on 10 Sep 2009

I paid the going price for eyelid surgeries at 1992. There were cheaper doctors, but I thought using someone claiming to be an oculoplastic surgeon is the safetest. Little did I know that some doctors often lies about their experiences and can use us (people) to gain experiences. I went to someone that claim he can do the job. Was I shocked after the surgery and looked into the mirror. I got incisions outside of my natural creases, in my eyebrows, in my forehead and to the sides of each of my eyes. I alread told him I scar easily, but he ignored anything I told him at consultation time. At 27, he gave me eyes like someone in their 70's. He stitched me up really tight. The stitches went to the sides of each of my eyes all the way to my hairline, from my eyelid creases to above my forehead. So paying full price sometimes does not mean you are getting an experienced doctor. IN fact, the one I used conduct some kind of experimental facial surgery on me without my consent. I paid him for eyelid surgery and now is a walking bulletin of what a very blotched eyelid job looks like.

I was okay with botox between my eyebrows, but it didn't get rid of one of my 11's. ON the right side of my eye you can still steal a "l", but I am hoping with constant used of botox it will eventally flat out. If not, I want to use radiesse to fill it in. I wish I got this done sooner. I notice many people in their 40's also got this done. It couldn't be just me that got bad laugh lines and wrinkles between my eyes. I was stupid enough to think that everyone just have better gene than me, but how would all these plastic surgeons make their money?? My dermatologiest told me many people get plastic surgeries. If that wasn't true, then why so many plastic surgeons still in business right??

Botox was okay betwee my eyebrow, but it didn't get one of the 11's completely iron out. I was got extremely dry eye problem right after injection. It took like about 6 days to see the final result. I still want to get it done like once every 4 months and see if continuously use of botox will eventually get rid of one of the 11's between my eyebrows. At least one of the doctors whom I went for a consultant told me that can happen. If not, then I might consider get the one of my 11's (the the "l" on my right eye is deep) to be filled out with radiesse filler. It didn't hurt and there were no bruising. . The doctor that did this was very nice and was very patience to listen to what I got to say. He wasn't rushing anythng. He also did my radiesse on my laugh line. This place gives free dental block if you are afraid of pain. I am going back when it is time to get touch up job. I was very depress and am glad I did it.

I got it done on August 25, 2009. I also had no bruising and very little swelling and the little swelling disappeared on the 4th day. I had a doctor doing it, but I wasn't picky who did it at this place. The RN was fully booked for the day and I need it done before my kids school start cuz I was afraid of reddish and bruises from the injection site, but there was really none. The doctor gave me dental block so I hardly feel any pain at all. I I wish I done this years ago. My laugh line also aged me really badly. I was mistaken as a grandmother because of that. I notice many people in their late 30's also got really bad laugh line folds in addition to crows feet. I am so happy I got it done. Gave me confidence back!!!!!!!!!!!

I agreed with the person above me. I been lie to by an eye doctor and he messed up my eyelid really badly leaving loads of scars on my forehead, eyelid creases, inside my eyeborws, and to the sides of each of my eyes to my hair line. Unfortuately good doctors are hard to come by these days.
