Whether related to the MixTo or not, I have not needed to get any Botox or Juvey injections since April 2009 either. Botox did not agree with me: it left large, banana-shaped bags under each eye.
I used to have my tear-trough area filled with Juvey - and that is no longer necessary!
But my "marionette" lines on the sides of my mouth are becoming more prominent now, so I am debating finding a doctor to inject Juvey there.
All in all, I am happy, at peace, and MOST of all: back in good health for over a year now.
Your best bet is to check around, but keep the caveat in mind: this is MAJOR, skin-burning treatment! It's essential to eliminate ANY chance of getting an infection such as I had.
I consider myself beyond lucky to have survived the staph infection and be left with a couple stubborn patches of burned skin - where the texture of it is actually bumpy and red. I continue to use camouflage makeup on these areas, and find myself wishing I'd never had my skin burned so bad. Good luck to you in any future treatment.
I must be the exception to that rule, as I posted pictures and story here after my own experience with MixTo. It wasn't pretty. And the recovery was months longer than the 10 days I'd thought it would be.
While each person will heal differently, I can assure you, my recovery was about 6 months total until my abs finally settled in to their more smooth and sculpted look.
Just like you, initially my abs were flat from the foam core compression garment. But in the weeks and months that followed, I had lots of lumpy stuff going on. It ALL resolved in time. So be patient, but if you need to follow up with your surgeon, do so, because some offer either cool laser and/or ultrasound treatments after surgery.
I started in on those treatments about 2-3 weeks post surgery.
Unlike the poster gal pitch you'll see and hear about in the doc's office, this is typically NOT a 5-day recovery. The fact is, you've just gotten a 2nd degree burn on your skin, and with luck it will heal and the redness fade. But it could take MONTHS.
I am now over 6-months post MixTo, and I still have the same stubborn red areas on my face (under each eye and on my left eyelid). I don't anticipate that situation going away any time soon.
But my health issues from the staph infection I developed after the MixTo are largely behind me. I had one final bout of massive hair falling out that lasted 7 weeks.
Good luck to you in your continuing recovery. And YES, this kind of facial redness and sensitivity to heat (or even warm water, I find) is VERY common after laser procedures.
