The Arnica gel should really help with the bruising. Keep applying everyday for another week or so. I am still sore from this procedure and it has been over a month now. The soreness isn't bad but definitely noticeable. I was really surprised by that because I really expected within a couple of weeks I would be so much better. I noticed for the first three weeks that most of my discomfort was in the middle of the night when I was sleeping. It would wake me up. Not sure why. I am still swelling. It is so much better than the first two weeks, but is really taking awhile to heal. Don't get discouraged. I don't think you will need pain meds for more than a few more days. I took 800 mg I.P. for about 3 weeks. I returned to work after 4 days but I sit at a desk all day long. I actually think that is worse. I think the swelling gets worse when you are inactive. My Dr. encouraged regular cold packs - ice as often as you can. Stay active. Make sure you get enough sleep - that is when we heal the most. Drink water! Swelling has been my biggest ongoing issue. My Dr. finally prescribed a diuretic. Good luck to you!

You should be able to. I had major drainage for about a day and a half and then it got significantly better. You will be sore for awhile but not to the point that you won't be able to move around. I can tell you from personal experience that moving helps a lot! I had smart lipo about 2 1/2 weeks ago and I am still sore and swelling but getting better everyday! I think it depends on how many areas you had worked on too. I had inner/outer thighs and flanks done. Good luck!

I just had the procedure done today. My doctor said to wear it for 2 weeks 24/7 so I do plan to sleep in it. 8 lbs! I only had 3 taken off my love handles and inner/outer thighs... I was hoping for 5! I am very sore and leaking like crazy... Did you have a lot of leakage your first day?
