Sorry everyone is suffering so...When I had my symptoms (insomnia, sinus thing, stomach, numbness etc) I found that Mary Jane worked and melatonin worked better than xanax, ambien etc...perhaps a vitamin IV drip. My doctor, MD, and Homeopath, has the nurse do it. It takes about an hour and a half in your vein, and you do it 3x's a week until you are better. He actually cured me of a 5 mos respiratory infection (unrelated to my Botox BS) so perhaps it can get your immune system stronger to fight the toxin out of your body...any time we have a runny nose if we are sick, is bc the body is trying to get the virus, or in this case poison, out any way it can expel it. I would try said suggestions. My insomnia lasted 6 weeks straight, not a wink. Torture. Good luck!!!!
it's not the actual flu, it's "flu- like symptoms" and 'anxiety" etc...ya know, the warnings that are on the side of the box. There are over a thousand people here with the same symptoms after getting botox. Do your research, your a doctor for heaven's sake.
that sucks, I'm sorry, I know I could take 5 klonopin and would get to sleep, but wake up 45 min later and that was it. My doctor has a theory that it messes w your hormones, as a lot of "drugs" do, and hormones are stronger than medication (menapause) It does get better towards week 4 and 5, but mind you I am still popping pills at this point, and toward the end boozing too, but at least I was able to sleep, but felt weird about 6 weeks...it's unreal, let me know how it's going for you. It's like ur adrenaline is shot thru the roof and u can't experience pleasure, like a bad hit of acid. Melatonin b/c may be hormonal may be better. I had to start the day w a xanax and end it w melatonin etc...Unreal, please keep me posted, hang in there!
wow why $8,000? Was it a revision? I thought he was $5700? May as well get it done in CA, guess the press on this site made prices sky rocket, I was quotes 5 and change, sigh
For people who have been getting blood work, have you been testing your hormones? The botox affects your hormones, hence the anxiety, lack of sleep. Perhaps a hormone replacement may ease symptoms? I would go to an MD, who is also a homeopath, however, b/c western doctors don't look at the numbers the same.
