I've had mine done and the technician told me to was with water only and not to apply anything on it. It was really really painful. I took the pain and waited for 2nd day which pain was worsen and face looked horrible. Then I found this site. One of the blogs were very helpful on after care. I used aquaphor treatment ointment which really minimized the pain and I was able to smile without hurting. At the end of that day, I washed with Cetaphil and can feel the skin smoothly scraping off my face, no burns and pain. Aquaphor ointment was a miracle worker. I suggest you try that even though the provider tells you not to use anything. I'm on my third day right now, and my face feels great and smooth and not a single pain. I know this is late to previous pain complaints, but for those who are researching like I did, Aquaphor ointment is the answer for the pain and fast healing. I forgot the name of he doctor in California that posted the blog but Thank you, your blog was great assistance in my healing process.
