I hope that both of you are finding some relief or at least peace a few months later. I had surgery five weeks ago and have slight lower lid retraction but more worrying have developed severe dry eye (not enough tears, so this will not improve with time) which is now going to need managing for the rest of my life. I have had to give up my work overseas and go back to live with my parents to focus on finding a way to cope and suitable treatments. I feel I have ruined my life.
