Oh yes. Fraxel Repair procedure left my facial skin texture with a rough sandpapery feel for 18 mos until I used Obagi 3 & 4. Now the skin feels smooth but the jowls caused by laser still exits.
Hope this helps.
STOP ALL LASER TREATMENTS!! Sorry, not yelling but absoultely try OBAGI CREAM (3 and 4 only).
See my reviews here..... please... Spend $130 total and in 2 months you will see the difference. pores, acne scars, pigmentations, old etc etc etc. IT is the last but the best resort.

You must try OBAGI cream treatment. I swear by my life. Read my Fraxel reviews here......... "It will be 2 years next April 2012 since my laser repair. After researching why my treatment was severely damaged, I found out that the Fraxel repair I had done was not meant for my skin type... I am between skin type 3-4 because of my Polynesian ethnicity.
The company cannot be sued for false advertising etc. because they clearly state that Fraxel Repair is not meant for darker skin types, like Asians, Indians, Mexicans, and Black ethnicity. All Aesthetic practitioners should know this and follow the restrictions but mine did not.
“Fraxel is not tolerated by patients with darker skin types. Neither CO2 nor Erbium work well on skin types V-VI and require caution."
The first 18 mos I had purple/bluish skin tone with a rough sandy feeling on my face, with very frequent acne breakouts that were more scarring with pigmentations. The laser also has created jowls around my jaw line whereas I never had this. My skin is was always tight and lifted naturally.
The second year I saw a dermatologist in Los Angeles (Sept 2011) and she treated me with 2 topical bleaching and exfoliant creams, Obagi 3 and 4.(I have used these 2 together religiously every night). I can happily say that the damage done by Fraxel is resolved except the jowls. My derm did confirm that she strongly is against Laser treatments on my skin type.
My practitioner refunded 40% of my charge after I educated her and her staff about the restrictions on my skin type and she agreed that it was their mistake to sell me on the Fraxel Repair. I am thankful for the refund because that money helped me correct the mistakes in Los Angeles.
Please try the Obagi 3 (Skin resurfacing and bleaching cream) and Obagi 4 (Exfoderm) and you will feel 5 years younger in 2 months. You can purchase from a dermatologist office or online. OBAGI comes in a 5-pack treatment package. Check out:
For VAM, I had the fractional ablative Co2 laser, not sure of the power yet. I will find out about the settings. She sees me once a month in the past 3 mos. I am using the Triluma bleaching cream since May 24th but with very slight difference. About the Derm - I am under the care of a Derm but he has not seen me after laser. I have an appt with him in July.
