While kudos to Aveda for finally coming out with an anti-aging skin care product, this is NOT USDA CERTIFIED ORGANIC.
Aveda's own literature claims the product to be 97% naturally-derived. They do say that some specific ingredients are organic but do not call these specific ingredients out, which are most likely minimal at best.
Aveda is a great company, but this an example of green-washing on the part of this uninformed writer.
Only products that carry the USDA organic seal can be called USDA-certified organic. This seal means that a at least 95% of ALL ingredients used come from certified-organic sources. Even the source ingredient has to be certified. this is a very high standard which is why so few beauty companies are able to achieve it.
