I do want to make mention that my Dr says I am so far the only patient of hers that has had a problem with dysport. But after what happened to me she is diluting the solution more than specified by the company so it doesn't happen to anyone else.
She did admit the dyport was giving a more frozen affect but her patients liked it.
She also gave me her personal cell phone through the ordeal in case I had more issues or concerns.
So I am fortunate to have such a wonderful doc !
Want to let you all know I went in to get my freebie botox after my dysport disaster. Fortunaly the bad effects of dysport were not long lasting on me, the worst being the double vision because the dysport spread to my eye muscle. That lasted about 6 weeks til it was completely gone.
When I got the dyport injections my forehead swelled at the injection site for days, like little eggs and under my eyes swelled up for days too.
Now back to the botox I got on Saturday. Not one problem, no swellling, no headache and my forehead and crows look great. Dysport SUCKS and BOTOX rocks. I WILL NEVER USE DYSPORT AGAIN, EVER !
I'm pretty much back to normal now at almost 3 months. Had double vision for about 6 weeks( spread to my eye muscles), which was the worst side effect as it caused motion sickness if I walked around. Good thing I have a desk job ! The minor side effects which I never had with botox was swelling at the injection site for 2 days and a headache for a week.
Will NEVER use it again and don't recommend it to anyone. Use Botox only, much less chance of spread !
Hi All, I must be at about 7 weeks post dysport injections now. My double vision is finally gone, took about 5 weeks to completely go away. My Dr called the Dyport Co. to report the problem and they said that doesn't happen when used cosmetically only when used for medical issues in higher does like Cervical Dystonia ect. And told her I needed to see an eye Dr as something else must be going on.
Total denial !
Anyway..it is still wearing off much faster than botox. I can almost smile normal now but still a little crooked. And the puffy bags under my eyes are starting to be less everyday too. I will never use dysport ever again but will do botox again, since I never had a problem before. My next one is free from the Dr because of all the issues I had:-)
