Hi all, just getting a chance to read up on everyones procedures, revisions etc.. wondering too about kbarbee's revision in March. My revision has been well over a year ago, I am happy with how I look in general and in pics. We just celebrated my moms 80th b day. I was in a few video shots..thats where I really noticed the horizontal jaw lines. I knew they were there but of course you really dont know until you see a video. I will probably follow up on a consult for this issue this year, has anyone else experienced this problem??
Good luck in April, ask your Dr. about horizontal lines along the jawline that can form with a 2nd procedure, I have them now especially when I look down extending from the earlobe. I did not have anything pulled up above the sideburns so I believe that contributed to the pulled look I kinda have/ I use Bareminerals foundation it seems to work nicely-if I have anything else done Im going to Newport beach..any suggestions on Drs??
Im glad to help. I felt I had nobody to talk to about my concerns til I found this website. My family was getting sick of hearing me, I was getting sick of looking in the mirror and finding things wrong too! I still look lumpy in certain bright lights but overall I think time is the healer even if it is more than a year, good luck and let me know how your revision goes.
Hi, I know how you must feel. always hearing how great patients look you feel as if something went wrong with YOUR surgery. Yes I had the same Dr. he was always upbeat and just telling me it was normal healing time just be patient bla bla..Remember its your face and your money that was spent.I believe most surgeons will do a free revision within a year. My Dr. wouldnt do it until I healed for 9 months.
You still have to pay the fees for the operating
room/anesthesia.Faster healing than the original but still looked horrible for a few weeks. He prob. didnt want me complaining again so he pulled me pretty tight which has now loosened up so I no longer get weird looks. My family says I look fine now/my neck is great..hope this helps keep in touch!
I had a lower facelift May 2010-major surgery, lipo of the neck, dermabrasion around my mouth, all neck muscles tightened-it was pretty horrible and I could not go out for a month either! @ 9 months I had a revision because left side was drooping and my ear was pulled looking-finally 1 1/2 years later I finally am not feeling so self concious..it took me along time..hope this helps
