It has been 2 years for me......over $50K in doctor bills. It is absolutely infuriating to not have answers and actually be denied of the correlation....when there have been so many reports to the FDA. It is also infuriating how the FDA isn't demanding more research and long-term outcome studies on this. This toxin can hide in our systems for years and continue to cause horrible, debilitating symptoms. Many continue to suffer, and, like Lady DC, have other medical issues that are caused by this nuerotoxin.

If your issues are indeed from the injection, which I assume that they are...the CT scan will be normal. Of course it is always good to have things checked for any other problem that might exist...but many of us that have gone through this have had CT scans and MRIs and there is no structural damage that is done. The issues created relate to the nerves...and those problems don't show up on these tests. The toxicology test would show antibodies that have possibly formed against the toxin.

I know a couple of women who received Dysport...one had dizziness and cognitive issues.....couldn't work for a year but got better and is now back and work and feels fully recovered. Another one with Dysport who had horrible anxiety and nerve issues for a year...gradually got better and is 1.5 years out and feels 90% recovered. I know 2 other people who received Dysport....one is 2 years post....feels only 60% better...still has fatigue, dizziness, eye issues...can only work part time. Another one is 1.5 years post...still has dizziness, ocassional breathing issues....but is able to work and function. I know of some Botox victims....1 suffered from anxiety and naseau for 6 months and is now recovered; the other from anxiety and brain fog...is 1.5 year post and is recovered. Two others are at about 1 year post and are still dealing with the full gamut of symptoms. I know one person at 3 years post from Botox and still has things pop up...even after being symptom-free for several months. But...there are others who feel fully recovered. It just seems there is no set rule for recovery...it is just the luck of the draw regarding the if/when/why.

I know some who have recovered....but I also know others who still have issues even at the 2+ year mark.
Dysport victims seem to have more severe lingering symptoms.
