I got my money back!! I wrote a letter to GEMoneybank telling them my situation and that I did not get all my treatments as well as the treatments not workng. I asked them to suspend my account until a dispute could be filed and to reimburse all that was financed except for the bodysuit. A letter came back a few weeks later denying my request stating I needed to settle my claim with the store I purchased the care from> Well duh, they are out of business which I clearly stated in the first letter, so I felt they were messing with me. I then immediately sent another letter threatening to get them added to the class action law suit as they probable were in cahoots with the Lipozap people to finance their deals for a year no intrest. I attached my original letter. I did not get another letter from them, but on my next statement, it showed a credit for the whole amount that I had paid and that I still owed. I did not need to fill out a dispute form. My husband called and requested a check be sent to us for the amount we had credit for and 2 weeks later a check came in the mail. I called the attorney and asked them to now take me off of the class action law suit as I got my money back. Good luck to all of you who still have not. Be tough in you letter and don't give up. Laurie

Josephine, as I told the other lady, I would gather your paperwork, write a letter of the details and fax it to Kathryns office.

Lilly115, I would still gather your information, hopefully you have it still, the package they gave us when we signed up for the service. If not, you might have to find something that shows you paid for the service. Cancelled check, credit card statement, anything. I would think to actually get any money as part of the class action lawsuit, each person that Kathryn represents would have to prove that they were a client of MED Aesthetica and that you had the LipoZap service or at least paid for it. Kathryn will still want to talk to you, but she's gathering data for the case. She she did tell me on the phone that she hasn't been reading this blog, so not sure what we've been talking about, she has just been doing phone interview with those of us contacting her and she's asking that we fax her any informatipon that we got from MEDAesthetica. Because you haven't actually talked to her yet, you might want to put your story on paper and fax that as well.

I just got a call from Kathryn this week asking me my information and to fax her any paperwork I got from MED Aesthetica. She says she has talked to over 125 people so far and counting. You could help her by getting your paperwork together, perhaps even typing up a brief synopsis of when you started with them, what you paid and to who, did you finish etc. and fax all to her at 415-901-0515. I am faxing her my paperwork today. She also stated that the class action lawsuit is to only get money back paid for the treatment. If CareCredit returns any or all of the money, to you once you dispute a claim, then you would not be eligible on the class action lawsuit for the amount received. Class action lawsuits cannot go for pain and suffering only the false claim of the procedure as being Federally approved and that it worked or if you paid for something and didn't get the treatments. Apparently, Med Aesthetica or whatever they call themselves now have turned this over to their insurance company to settle. Could be a good thing. Kathryn also said that Carecredit is starting to work with client to return money. When we tried calling last night, you couldn't talk to a person, just ask for a dispute form to be sent to your address. If anyone knows of a better way to get the money back, please let me know.

Today I called Medaesthetica to ask for my money back, but instead got a message that said that they were no longer in business. I financed $4200, in which I still owe $2800 did several treatments starting in Nov 07 and still had one more to go and 8 velasmooth treatments. I could not bring myself to do the last treatment as the thought of going through the ordeal makes me sick to my stomach. I wanted to wait several weeks to see if the treaments themselves did any good at all and as it turns out, I'm actually bigger in the areas they worked on then I was before they began. I have purple spots in certain areas that they said might fade in time. I look far worse than before I began and the worst part is I still have to make payments to CareCredit whom I still owe $2800. Is there a way to get my money back or so that I am not responsible for paying off the rest of my treatments??
