well....that may be what the medical community thinks but my personal experience clearly shows otherwise & i'm not the only one to have had this result. Even before Latisse hit the market my dermatologist suggested trying it on my thinning crown hair. i had def tried everything else so we both figured what could it hurt except my wallet! in the beginning all i did was use it on my lashes & rub any product that was leftover onto my scalp & forgot about it. I had great results with my lashes & after about 12wks my hairdresser was the 1st to notice hair 'sprouting'. Pretty soon i had about 1.5" standing straight up but a lil hairspray fixed that. i was just elated that i couldnt see my pink scalp as much....was it thick? no..but it was most def new growth. so my experience def doesnt support your scientific info regarding difference in follicles etc. its interesting tho....is the hair follicle different everywhere we grow hair....because most of us who have used Latisse can probably say that theyve noticed hair growth anywhere the product lands ie: below the eyes, on cheeks etc if you dont make sure to wipe it off your face! tho im not a dr this has been my personal experience & im thrilled with the results even if its NOT supposed to work on thinning hair on me it has!
nahhhh not scary just too dang expensive! i have done 3 rounds of botox...my forehead & between the eyes, my crows feet...i really didnt notice much diff in any place but that deep groove most of us have between the eyes but its not gone & took about 3x doin it there b4 i thot it seemed better. i swear i dont know how these celebrities get those totally smooth foreheads as my dr wont even do the top forehead line at all. i def noticed more diff with the filler...i used Juverderm i think & have had the usual spots done. esp liked getting rid of the little lines around my mouth. i did my lips and loved that but i didnt over do it and no one even noticed but me....which i guess is good...lol better than fish lips for sure. im ready for that 2 be redone. since ive had no surgery done its pretty much my only option....it didnt hurt any more than a pin prick and i had no bruising or swelling what so ever! it all depends on how good the person doing it is tho cus ive read some pretty bad stories. i got my Careprost & the only diff ive noticed is it seems to make my eyes feels a bit irritated which the Latisse never did. i am going to try the cream next time i place an order for my careprost so thanks for the tip! take care
hey girl...right now im using horribly expensive creams (Vivite & Epionce brands) from my derm. so an alternative would be great as who knows if what im using now is making a significant diff or not. i have had botox & can really see that im past due for another round. so im assuming u had good results with this? Kat
i had the same problem with my latisse...with one eye responding better than the other & some individual lashes getting longer than others (i just trimmed the overzealous ones down!). i noticed it lists that in the info about it. its prob only noticed by me but when i got my generic & every lil drop wasnt like gold...lol...i started doing my sparse eye in the am as well as pm tho they say it doesnt work any better to use it 2x a day i think its helped a bit. gonna try the starting with the other eye idea now & see what happens. btw...its still working great on my thinning hair. Am so thrilled to not see my pink lil scalp anymore! yay!
i posted this on another thread but thought this might help so will post it here as well.
so check my post from 4/21/10 cus it has worked great on my thinning hair!
