Thank you Sunsets....honestly I don't remember how long it took me for the consult but he is a busy man!! Is worth the wait, all I can say is that he's great and I can't be happier with my results, go ahead and see other doctors and compare , go with the one who you feel more comfortable....
No problem...there's no better feeling and sense of security to know that you are going for surgery with all of your blood work within normal and if something is to happen ( hopefully not) he has a baseline and see where is the problem coming from and not try to guess what's going on....:)
My PS ordered a complete labwork including urine test which came out with a bit of infection and so he gave me antibiotics before the surgery.....I think your PS is being careless (sorry) by not doing labs BUT you are doing the right thing about going to your primary for labs, specially when you had a history of low h/h after you had your baby ( your PS should not take that lightly) chem 27 will only show your potassium, sodium, calcium and some other stuff but not how your blood levels are ,in case you are anemic he should know before the surgery to treat it and go in for surgery with a high number, remember having a TT is a big surgery and one of the risks could be bleeding ...so good move on that and always follow your guts and do the right thing before the surgery....good luck
