  • Posted to Mentor 450cc Implants, from Small C to Full C. Worried I Went Too Small. on 15 Apr 2010

I am going through the same thing...I am 5'8 155 lbs and i went 400 ccs under the muscle. they are definetly not large enough...i barely moved up a cup size. the problem is... us taller larger gals need more ccs...we should have been lookining in the 500 range. Especially when you go under the muscle, which presses down on the implants more. So you are totally mislead in the sizing. unfortunately, they will continue to shrink. I am 6 weeks post op and don't even look like i had anything done when i have clothing on..they look pretty good but definetly feel i could have gone larger.

  • Posted to Unhappy So Far - Breast Augmentation Post Op 4 Weeks, Do I Also Need a Lift? on 14 Apr 2010

You should always give your body the full recovery time to see if the other falls to align itself with the other breasts. It is quite possible, and common for breasts to fall and settle at different rates. Just let your surgeon know you are concerned, and devise a plan should this not correct itself. You might as well sit back and wait anyways, because most surgeons do not feel it is safe to reoperate until 4 to 6 months after intitial surgery.
  • Posted to Implants for Tubular Breasts - Was It Worth It? I Wouldn't Recommend It on 14 Apr 2010

If you had a tubular breasts like me, a lot of experts feel that over the muscle placement allows the breasts to take on the shape of the implant better. But I'm not sure why this would help a case like bottoming out, because that is more likely to happen with an over the muscle placement. In my case, I had a double bubble effect, where the under the muscle placement didn't allow my implants to completely reshape my tubular breasts, so they were still pointy. I am now considering over the muscle placement, but am worried about capsular contracture as well. Have you asked any surgeons about placing internal sutures to boost the implant back into normal position?
