Hi. I am 6 days post op and I was REALLY scared.. I was exhausted from researching information on the computer and reading horror stories just made it all the worst! I had second thoughts up until I was being wheeled into the OR room. My advice is, stop worrying about it and stay positive, you're gonna be FINE!! :) I feel great! It's a bit uncomfortable but NO PAIN at all, whatsoever. Not for me at least. And I am a big baby. The only regret I have is all the time I wasted focusing on stories I have heard over the internet, I was driving my husband crazy, lol. Trust me, if I did it, you can do it and you're gonna be so glad. Here are some tips that helped me, but of course talk to your dr. first. 1-the morning of surgery while you are at the surgical facility take a anti-nauseau/vomiting medication because the anesthesia will make you vomit. And that WILL hurt so you dont want that... I took it and its the first time I came out of general anesth. without throwing up. Thank God! 2-The first day immediately following surgery take your pain meds (I got percocet) every 4 hrs. 2 tablets for the entire first day. My bottle was prescribed 1-2 tablets every 6-8 hrs depending on pain, BUT thank God my anesthesiologist gave me this tip, and it must of worked because I felt no pain. Good luck, and relax :)You're gonna LOVE your new tummy

Hi there! Don't worry, you will be fine :) I am 6 days post op, had my TT and lipo done on 3/29/10, and I feel GREAT! I was VERY scared going into this, I even had second thoughts the night before, and now I feel like I worried for NOTHING. You will have discomfort because of the drains and the binder but I haven't felt any REAL PAIN that is unbearable like some of the horror stories I've read. Here's a tip that my anesthesiologist gave me right before I went into surgery (of course, please double check w/ your Dr. as well) 1- Take an anti-nauseau and vomiting medication the morning of surgery while you're in the surgery facility (so u dont come out of surgery vomiting from the anesthesia, because that WILL hurt) 2- Take your pain pills on the first day home every 4 hrs. without fail. DONT wait for pain to kick in to take them. I was prescribed percocet 1-2 tablets every 6-8 hrs. for pain, but for the first day out of surgery I took 2 every 4 hrs. Anyways good luck w/ your upcoming surgery!! Just wanted to send you some positive thoughts :)

Hi there, I am 6 days post op. I had my TT with liposuction done on 3/29/10 and I haven't left my house yet, but if I HAD to drive, I probably could. Although it may be a bit dangerous because it all depends on how hunced forward you're going to be or how much pain you may be having. As for me,I feel great I really haven't had much pain AT ALL!! It's just a bit uncomfortable beacuse of the drains, and the tight binder you have to wear 24/7. Good luck!
