Oh hun x My heart goes out to you. IT DOES get better and yes, everyone is different. It took me a long long time to get back to normal, but fingers crossed you don't take as long. I did use Visine drops as recommended by others. I had to order them from the USA as they are not on sale here, but they Do work. They used to open my eyes as i was much much worse when I woke up on a morning, I don't know if thats the case with you, but give then a try. Tapping with my fingers gently around the area helped too as did the DVD from Caroline with facial exercises ( also ordered from the USA)She is so very helpful and answers questions direct to her. No body understands what you aare going through unless it has happened to you. the ladies on this site were by rock, particularly K. If I can help in any way, let me know. It does get better I promise you x
hi K, how are you doing? Sorry I have not been on the site for some time but life has been pretty horrible and put my feeling sorry for myself in to perspective. My son got cancer and nothing other than getting him well mattered. He is on the road to recovery but its going to be a long haul, but hes in remission. Then on top of that my daughter was diagnosed with diabetis. Shes controlling it with insulin but damn awful for a young girl to have to cope with. Sooooooo, I have reasons other than the dreaded botox for puffy eyes. I didn't want you to think I had forgotten you however as you were a rock to me when I needed someone to understand. I truly hope yhings have settled down with you. Hugs D
I have orderd Visine eye drops from the USA, we can't get them here in Scotland, so's heres hoping they arrive soon!!! I was at my hairdresser last week who gave me a fab new hairstyle with a heavier fringe that has helped hide my lizard brow, love him. He also suggested, don't laugh, cream for piles, heameroids ( can't spell either)for under my eyes to take away some of the puffiness. Anything is worth a go.......and I have to say, it worked, honestly! It took a little of the puffiness away and under my eyes isn't as "crapey" so at least I can wear makeup without it claaging in the wrinkles I have there now. ( didn't have wrinkles and bags there before!) I have also been tapping around my eyes and draining the lymph glands. Nothing though has helped the skin folds I now have above my eyeslids and I can't wear eyeshadow as I used to because I don't seem to have any lids. I unfortunately have the wierd wrinkles over my left cheek too and chipmunk cheeks and lion nose. I look in the mirror and just want to see " me" back and not this strange person looking back at me. I still haven't plucked up courage to tell my friends whats wrong with my face, I am still pretending I have some sinus problems which is effecting my eyes. So Botox has made me a liar too. I have submitted questions on the Q&A page with a photo of my left eye, which is worse, but had no response, just tagged my question on to another poor soul who has had similar issues. I have had a rant at my practitiner, who is very sorry I have had this experience and she tried massage and accupuncture, as I didn't want any more Botox injected which she thought may help. I will never ever have Botox again. I didn't even want it this time but was persuaded I would look better than I did. I have spent the last few weeks wishing I hadn't fallen for the sales patter. So, I have the party on Monday to celebrate my hubby's 60th and my daughters 21st and just want to hide. We go on our trip of a life time, my hubby, daughter, Mum and I on the 3rd May and I can't spoil it for them. I can wear sunglassed in the day, but at night I don't want to look like Stevie Wonder and don't know what to do. Heres hoping, now the flights are back in full swing over here, that the Visine drops arrive before we go and they help. I have stopped altogether my salt intake and cook meals from scratch to make sure. I am also taking vitimins A and B in a hope they help. One day I know I will be my old wrinkly self, and that day can't come soon enough. It is worrying though. Despite what everyone, doctors included say, that it is temporary and my face will return to how it looked before Botox, I am praying that this is true and the crapeiness and new wrinkes are'nt permanent. I have also ordered Carolyns facial exercies and try and do what I can with the movement I have. I will try ANYTHING, even cream for Piles!!!!!
Thank you again for your mail. It is very much appreciated
Don't you loose hope! It WILL all return to normal. Please remember that. You have got me through the last few weeks and I KNOW you, and I,and others who have had a terrible experience, will eventually look in the mirror and see us again. Chin up and don't loose hope xx
Thank you so much. I know you understand and your comments have helped me. K has been briliant too. I wish there was something I could do for you all x
