It's been about 2.5 months since my fraxel repair and I'm VERY disappointed in the results. I still have the same wrinkles around my mouth. The wrinkles around my eyes are still there, but I would say maybe a 20% improvement, so some are softer, but I can get that with a good eye cream.
It was a total of waste of time and money. I am not sure where they got these before and after pictures from w/other women. I am certainly not a candidate because you really can't tell any difference looking at me. I think doing regular microdermabrasion and good creams is the way to go. Obviously fillers and botox are the best and more affordable than laser. It's sad that I was promised so much - I feel like I was robbed. I'm not even 40 yet and was trying to do the best for my skin at my age and guess what, total waste.
Take care of your skin, wear sunscreen, but don't do this drastic expensive procedure, it's just not worth it.
I think your results are very good. I can tell especially your eyes.
I just had Deep Fx done 5 days ago, just got passed the worst part. I'm just starting to see what is still there in terms of lines. I'm still swollen a bit too, so I'm sure I have to readjust my expectations as my face returns to normal.
It is quite a bit of downtime, for the amount of fuss you go thru. I'm looking for miracles I guess - but aren't we all! Thanks for sharing!
Hi -
I just had Deep Fx yesterday, mainly for wrinkles. Did you see an immediate affect on "deep" wrinkles - assuming you had any? I can't see any of my fine lines - but like I said my face is swollen, I can barely see my own eyeballs at this point.
However, I still see my deeper lines even being super swollen, so I'm a bit anxious that this will not work on my deeper lines.
I guess I want to know what I can expect in the coming weeks. I know it takes months to see full result but you know I'm looking for small miracles here! :D
Thanks!
Okay post 3 hours Deep Fx. I had nerve block w/topical lidocaine. With that said I think Restore hurt WORSE. So it was not that bad. My jaw hurts the most from clenching it a full hour.
So it took longer since it is a more detailed procedure. I do look awful - like Freddie Krueger. I bled alot, I have thin blood so I did bleed probably more than the average person, which makes it look alot worse.
So all in all not bad. The Nurse who did it was great and I can tell she knew what she was doing. I will post pictures on my progress. I'm not in any worse pain than the Fraxel Restore. So far I wish I would have done this in the first place. We'll see how it goes.
