Hi, I just joined and came across your post. Don't know if it'll help so late in the game. =-) You said you've used many products on your face to get rid of your acne in the past. Your skins texture is probably due to the fact that it's been stripped of it's natural oils as a result of using acne products that tend to contain Salicylic Acid and/or Benzyl Peroxide. These ingredients are ideal for drying up breakouts. However, when used too frequently they can strip your skin which ironically causes it to produce more oil in order to heal itself. This in turn causes more blemishes. The result is dull skin with breakouts and flaky dry patches. It's easy to get stuck in this cycle. They key is to treat the breakouts with these ingredients but do not overtreat and make sure to incorporate a really good moisturiser to help keep the skin supple while you treat. I too am in my 30's going on 31 and I've found that a good glycolic product works wonders without being too harsh on my sensitive skin. DDF had some great products with glycolic acid which can be used 2-3x per week and followed with a moisturiser. It helps prevent breakouts, encourages cell turn over, minimizes pores and is much more appealling than having to use an exfoliant that can tear into your skin. Anyway, I know this is an old post but better late than never. Hope, some of what I've said helps! Good luck!
