I would love to update my status as I am feeling much better but it seems they have changed the website since the last time I was on here & I cannot figure out how to add new pics or update my status so I am posting a comment. I am 4wks & 4days & I am feeling so much better. The swelling is going down every day, as the good Dr said it would. The difference i swelling between week 3 & week 4 is unbielvable. And also the way I feel from week 3 to week 4 is awsome. I can only imagine that as the weeks go on, everything will just get better & better!!! I am so happy I did this & my only regret is I did not do it sooner.

I am 2wks post op TT. Had drains removed at 1wk post op. Dr thought I had a seroma but when he went to drain it no fluid came out? I am so confused? Dr. said the swelling will just go away on its own. Is this true?

Gina, First my dr is Dr Scott Brennman w/ Pennsylvania Hospital on 8th & Spruce. He has been wonderful. And he does not charge for consultations. Second, I was very active before my surgery. I worked out 3-4 times a wk. I too have kids (3girls) & work a full time job. I would do my workouts after they were asleep or before they woke up. I ran 5miles 3 times a day & would lift weights 3 times a day. How tall are you? Bc I was 5'4" & 127lbs prior ro surgery but a fit 127. and at 10days post op I am 120lbs. I had no appetiate for days, still dont have much of one. Anyway, I have heard that you should be close to your ideal weight for maximum results. But more then that you need to be in shape!!!! You will need your arms & legs to do the things your stomach normaly does. You don't realize how much you use your stomach muscles. Just to get out of a chair!!! That's my advice. Good Luck to you!!

I am 10 days post op & I am still having trouble sleeping. Same problem sleep for couple hrs then wake up. I ahaven't taken pain meds since like day 3or 4. I had no problem moving my bowles but took stool softner on day 2. I wasn't messing around w/ that. I am in binder from surgey only bc the stage 2 binder he gave me at my 1wk post op visit is too small. I go tomorrow to get a bigger size. I too have the tight stiches & back pain but the results so far seem great.
