Keith,
I am sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience with Zoom.
I am a qualified registered hygienist and have had no problems with the zoom from my patients. I don't think you should write not to have this done by a hygienist. This is all I do and I have more experience than most dentist out there. As a matter of fact most dentist don't know how to do this procedure and are more interested in doing crowns and bridges. This is where the money is at. I isolated all tissue(gums) and I give my patients a toothpaste to use 2 weeks prior to having this done. This is to reduce any sensativity and I give them post-op gel to use afterwards for sensativity. I work in a Park Ave office in New York City. We charge $1000 for the zoom of 4 cyles of 15 minutes each.
Good Luck from a well qualified hygienist.
