Radiesse Redness and Swelling for Undereye Circles a Disaster

My eyes looked much worse after the RAdiesse injections. I had some improvement with the worst lump under my eye doing carboxy therapy. It also tightened the skin. The plastic surgeon I consulted with said that Radiesse could last many years and could erode the bone in the eye orbit. To remove it surgically, he would also have to remove good tissue.

Hi Emmilou The plastic surgeon that I spoke with about removing the Radiesse said that I wasn't a candidate for eye fillers to improve dark circles under my eyes because of the structure of the eye area. When I went to Dr. Cheng three months ago, she said the Radiesse under my eyes would help with the circles under my eyes. I continue to have a red lump under one eye and a yellowish tinge under the other. The wrinkles under my eyes are much worse.

I am three months out and I still have an unsightly bag under my eyes and they are much more wrinkled and look worse than before. I went to a plastic surgeon who told me that I was not a candidate for injectable fillers. He also said that he had seen many CT scans where the Radiesse was causing bone erosion. I have one side of my face where the radiesse is on top of a nerve and can't be removed. If he removed the bag under my eye he would have to remove a lot of good tissue to get it out.

It has now been over two months since my doctor injected radiesse under my eyes to get rid of my dark circles. I still have a lump under one eye and redness. The skin under my eyes is very damaged and wrinkled. It also feels like a sunburn. When I asked my doctor why she would do an injection under my eye that had not been approved by the FDA, she told me that many doctors performed off label uses of products with great results. I told her that Bioform told me that not one scientific study had been done on undereye injections and it was her duty not to perform unsafe procedures on patients. I am furious and look much worse now.

It's been two weeks now and I still have swelling and a little bruising left. It also burns like my eyes have been sunburned. I spoke to a plastic surgeon and he said Radiesse is the worst choice for an undereye injectable because he said it can last for up to four years.
