I have been using Restylane in my downturned corners of my mouth, lip, and nasal folds for many years along with Botox in the forehead. I have an amazing technician and she advises me well. I just had my cheeks injected with Radiesse and I am totally happy with the results. It looks very natural and not at all overdone.
With fillers more is not always the best look and result. Subtle effect is always more pleasing. Since Radiesse is a thicker filler she advised using this product over Restylane or Juvaderm for the cheek area. Since the injections can hurt my tech used lidocane right in with the filler and I did not feel a thing. I have no brusing (and I am a bruiser) and am just a little tender in one side.
There is no question in my mind there are people out there injecting these fillers and doing a very messy job with them because they aren't trained or competent. Be sure you know who you are using and remember if its a bargain...you beter BEWARE you may get a very bad job or not even get the correct product.
I will be interested in seeing how long it lasts.
