You will still be a bit swollen at 8 weeks post-op. But you should otherwise be feeling fine. Most doctors I know around the D/FW area release patients to go about normal activities between 6 and 8 weeks. I felt great at 8 weeks and just kept getting better. At 8 weeks I hosted 2 parties in one day at my pool -- my son's 8th brithday party in the morning and then a big party (about 55 people) for friends and their kids that evening. I felt fine to do all that needed to be done to prepare and hostess. You will be fine -- just keep thinking those positive thoughts and you will heal much faster!!!
Good luck with your surgery and recovery! If you are confident in your surgeon, it will be fine! I have a girlfriend who is having a TT done in a week and a half and I am going to take her for the surgery and then take care of her for a couple of days while her husband is out of town. She is very excited, too! Let us know how it all goes for you! -Amy
I'm sorry to hear that you are not happy with the results of your tummy tuck. The surgery is too expensive and the recovery too long for you to be unhappy with the results. I do not have the problems you mentioned and do not know anyone who has.
Does your doctor have a policy regarding correction/revision surgery? My doctor will work with you in the first 6 months to determine if correction/revision surgery is needed. If it is necessary, he does it for free. Although, I guess if you aren't happy with the first surgery, it would be hard to want the same doctor to do another one.
I would suggest you make an appointment for a consultation with a different doctor -- a BOARD CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON. See what the new doctor has to say about it. Then discuss this with your original surgeon.
I hope you can find a way to be happy with the results -- it really is awesome to feel wonderful about how you look!
I am not sure how to email where I can include the doctor's names. It seems that they edit the names off. If you'd like to email me directly at {edited contact information}, I'll be happy to let you know the doctor's names!
