Hi There,
Thanks for your post. Could you please post any info you get from your dr. about the potential future effects of the injections? Also, will our lumpiness and hyperpigmentation eventually disappear? Thanks

Hi There,
I too had the whole series of Lipozap and got absolutely no results. I too had Fraxel done on my face and back. I had 5 Fraxels done on both and my face honestly does not look that much better (in terms of sunspots). But they burned my back (first with the Lipozap machine and then with the Fotofacial machine). I had a series of Fraxel (5) to correct the Lipozap blister on my shoulder and the burns from the Fotofacial and this last treatment (early June 08) they either burned or hyperpigmented me. I hadn't been burned with Fraxel before until this last one. Did you see a derm and if so, what did he say and recommend? Is it definitely a burn or possible overheating of the skin that led to hyperpigmentation? Do you know if it will slowly fade or permanent? Curious because we are kindof in the same boat. I am using retinol pads (.2% every other night on it and Hydroquinone pads 8% every morning) with some improvement, but am worried that it is basically permanent. Any input? Thanks so much and hang in there ;)

Hi There,
I too took a loan out with Capitol One. They really are horrible and unempathetic about all of this. I am sorry you are going through this as well. Wow, I actually had my treatments and they said the same thing to me and I can't believe that you didn't even have your treatments yet and they are like this. I think you should contact (and tell anyone else if you know) about the Law Offices of Chandler Visher in SF and their class action lawsuit for our refunds as a group. They are on it and will help us. Capitol One won't do anything so we have to go after the doctors and Medaesthetica ourselves. Good luck too.

Hi There,
Thanks for posting. I wish I had taken my loan out for my treatments through Care Credit, but rather through Capitol One (since it was for January 2007). I called Capitol One and they stated that they can not refund or credit me and will try to investigate the situation and also stated that at the end if they can not contact Medaesthetica and deal with the situation, then I would still be responsible for the loan and monthly payments ;( I guess Capitol One is less lenient and understanding than Care Credit. I also spoke with the SF lawfirm and they also that they will be filing the class action lawsuit for refunds for the Lipozap, but it would be a long process. Any suggestions from anyone or new info about Medaesthetica? BTW, I also dealt with and having been dealing with complications from the Lipzap (lumpiness and a scarred blister on my shoulder from the injection), as well as burns from their attempt to correct the blister and hyperpig. that I had at the injection sites, as well as further hyperpig. from the Fraxel laser they tried to use to help with the hyperpig from the injections and burns! It has been an absolute nightmare for me, with huge hyperpig circles/scars on my back from all of their negligence, which has already lasted for a year and two months and will probably take years to completely fade out. I can not be in the sun at all or even tan. I am so down and upset with what this unprofessional clinic did to me. I hope other people did not suffer the same complications and scarring that I did. Thanks for allowing me to vent.

Hi There,
We are part of the class-action lawsuit against Medaesthetica Medical DBA Lasershaping Centers. I am also a victim of the Lipozap scam, which did absolutely nothing for me and is not FDA-approved (even though they advertised that it was) and had complications and scarring as a result. There is a class-action lawsuit that will be filed against them soon and you can google it and find the office in SF that it filing it (Law Offices of Chandler Visher). I will speak to them on Monday and see how they want me to inform the people that I run across that would be interested in being a part of this suit and getting there money back for lack of treatment or failed treatment. I will keep you posted. Also you can read my posting above (date 6/24/08). Good luck!
