Hi Whoppi,
It cleared up literally in five days; I had the Fraxel restore on a very light setting. It was never blotchy or red, it was a brown sandpapery texture mostly, then the skin flaked off (I was very very careful with it the first week).
My skin is sensitive to the touch but no visible redness or blotchiness. I promise I will get my pix off my husband's camera and onto this site as soon as I can get them from him!
Hi Britt,
I decided it was a great excuse to take a few days off (not to mention it seemed like a bad idea, being out in the harsh Southern California sun). The texture of my skin was so rough and I didn't want to rush the process by rubbing sunscreen on my face and removing the skin prematurely.
I did do everything they suggested - I invested in a few different sun-hats, researched & bought the recommended sunscreens, and am taking Vitamin C, Collagen, Biotin & Silica to try and help my skin stay nice, too.
