When I downsized, my skin seemed to stay pretty elastic. My 2nd set breast implants weren't as tight (more realistic) as the first bigger set that felt tight at times. I want to get the silicone gel implants removed for several reasons: fear of silent ruptures (and don't have the $ to shell out for MRI's), I don't want to have to keep getting implant replacements throughout my lifetime, fear that mammograms may rupture my implants, and I also don't want to be freak out every time I feel something suspicious in my breasts. As much as I love the way they look, I don't think its worth having all these fears.
I do have a quick question for you. You had mentioned possibly removing residual skin. Do you mean a breast lift? Could the residual skin be removed at the same time they take out the implants? Or would it have to be done at a later date? I just want to be done with surgery after this removal. So over it :)
