I did not go to Seckel ... I only thought of doing so for a bleph. I do not think I had the "cheek drop" that happens with Botox -- only the herniation of fat beneath the eye, which has not improved much.

I think you mean Dr. Seckel; he is a plastic surgeon supposed to be very good if you want a blepharoplaty -- and does not believe in undereye filler or hyaluronidase. My best advice is to let the filler dissolve and to stop thinking about this so much -- hard to do, but i have been much happier since I stopped worrying so much! It should get better in time. Also, I had a look at old photos of myself and I found that some of the features of my appearance I was convinced had come about because of the injections actually HAD been there before; it is just that with scrutinizing your face all the time you are seeing every small flaw exaggerated by 100X. Are others telling you that something looks "off" or are they telling you they don't notice?

Hi there. I have been to Daniel Tresley. He is an occuloplastic surgeon and he's very good I think. The "festoon" appearance -- bulged out fat through the orbital septum under my right eye -- got slightly better over the past 2 years but did not reverse. My face has never been the same, which was very difficult for me to accept but I did accept it. Others do not really notice it as much as I do unless I point it out, but it is undeniably there esp. in certain lighting. I look much older. As a result of getting additional injections too soon after the original botox (because I thought the problem was the filler) I got permanent bluish discoloration (and the hyaluronidase did not help). I do not recommend the hyaluronidase if you haven't done it already because that is why I got the discoloration. If you have had botox and/or botox and filler, I would recommend you wait a few months to see what happens.

Posted a few weeks ago re 4! 2010 results: "Botox maker Allergan Inc. said Wednesday its profit grew 19 percent in the fourth quarter on better sales of its famed wrinkle treatment and stronger sales of eye care drugs." Also Allergan makes that drug that gives you longer lashes; I wonder if that is what is meant by "eye care drugs." I'm staying the hell away from all of this stuff. It should come with a skull and crossbones on the label.

Hi all, it has been a long long time since I posted but I'm happy to see everyone still in the community to provide support for one another (though sad to see there's still a need for it). Welcome, Kim! I wanted to give everyone an update. I did not have a bleph (yet?). I can't (yet?) bear the possibility of something else going wrong and looking worse. My final effects were apparent at about 3 months. It has now been 14 months and there has been no change since the 3-month mark. There is one doctor on this site (I posted about him before) who admits that botox too close to the crowsfeet can cause the fat pads surrounding the eyes to protrude thru the orbital septum -- and that, in rare cases he has seen, the problem does not reverse. Well, I still have puffy fat pads that protruded through the orbital septum as a result of the dreaded B too close to the crowsfeet. As you may recall, I did not understand this possible side effect at the time. Also, I VERY VERY unwisely had had restylane on the same day under the eyes. Incorrectly assuming the puffiness was the Restylane (rather than the dreaded B), I again, very unwisely, attempted to have it reversed/dissolved with hyaluronidase. It did NOT get rid of the puffiness, but it DID leave me with permanent -- yes, permanent -- black eye effect under one eye only. I've been to three different plastic surgeons. The only cure is a bleph, but I just don't know if I can ever trust a doctor again. I have not had any injections in over a year.
