I had my surgery on May 28-Tummy tuck, lipo of flanks and breast implants w a small lift. I have 1 child and it was natural child birth so I cant compare to a C section. I cannot speak for everyone but all I can say is that the first 48hrs hours were excrutiating for me! I felt as if I was hit by a mack truck! No nauseau, just pure pain. I had a lot of muscle spasms in my breasts and searing burning tightness in the abdomen. I didnt start to feel better until my drains were removed 5 days later. BTW removal of the drains was painful as well but so worth the pain if it means you're on a fast forward road to recovery!!! You'll be just fine but just be realistic about what to expect and the pain. I too had my period during my surgery-it arrived the day before. No big deal PS said-you just cant wear a tampon during the surgery. The worst part of having your period around the time of your surgery is not being able to really bathe. Sucks big time!!! I had to wash up @ the sink w soap, a cloth and water-THANK GOD FOR MY MOM!!!! It was as if I was a 1month old baby again-she cleaned me without a care in the world. Support is key. Good Luck!
I had my TT on 5/28. My period arrived on 5/27 THE DAY BEFORE! As you can imagine I was mortified. My PS also said it was not a problem. Only thing is you cannot wear a tampon. The most frustrating part is not being able to take a proper shower for a few days after your surgery. I felt really icky just washing up @ the sink-especially when you're on your period. Are you sure you're not pregnant?
I had my tummy tuck on 5/28 I returned back to work today for the first time. Up until today I was only in sweats so I couldnt tell, however this morning when I got dressed for work i put on a pair of slacks that are usually a little roomy on me (prior to my TT)and now they were a little more snug. The reason for this is the swelling. I am hoping once the swelling goes down clothes will feel a lot baggier.
I'm sleeping on my sofa w lotsa pillows.I regret not buying one. If u can rent one from rent a center or a medical supply store. I have major back pains now :(. My drain tubes came out today. I don't care what anyone says it HURTS like hell! Those tubes are thick and embedded deeply in ur pubic area. Now imagine having someone yanking them out?? Yes that painful!! I did see my results and its a far cry from what I was before. I am now walking upright but I get tired very quickly and easily. Still in lots of pain but everyday its getting better..I get to take my 1st shower in 6 days tmrw yaaayyy!
Hi everyone! 3days post op and I did it. Had my tummy tuck, BA w a lift and lipo of my flanks. How does it feel? My honest opinion-like I was hit by a mack truck. The pain is excrutiating!!! The first 48hrs are the worst! Thank God for my mom and friends bc this is smthng you CAN'T do alone. My mom has to spoon feed me my meals, wipe me when I use the bathroom, etc. Its like being a baby all over again. Surprisingly what hurts the most are my breasts!! I keep getting shooting spasms also the space btwn my breasts is really sore. As for the tummy tuck its a searing burning feeling in the groin area. Also the tubes are a little painful and keep getting in the way.I see my Dr Wed and that's when she will remove my drains and I can then see what I look like! I'm super excited to see the results! My advice to you ladies is to go into this with a realistic mindframe. The pain is so bad you almost regret doing it. But don't worry bc once you see the results there will be no regrets. Oh yea a recliner is a must. I didn't get one and my poor back is paying the price. I will post updated pics once I'm able to.
